Family sharing of Nanning 2011-04
(Group 3:Anthony)
 Dear Rainbow Mission,
I must say this is one of the most meaningful trips I have ever made. In other trips in the past, we just concentrated to what we see, what to eat and where to stay. The kids just focused on what and where to play.
In this trip, we have funs and reflections. Sometimes we have tears. I am glad that my son is also on the trip. This might not be a very comfortable trip to him this time. I am sure he has some kind of reflection about life in his little mind. I saw tears in his eyes when he said the kids were having a hard time while he was having a Happy Family.
I do believe some time in future and at the right moment God thinks fit ,the pictures of what he saw in the trip would pop out and that he would come to know these kids are just as valuable as he himself and he would do things along with Jesus glorifying the name of our Heavenly Father.

I was very happy today, because I learnt a precious lesson in my life. When I visited the Pei King Primary School, I was impressed by the beautiful drawings of the schoolmates.

(Group 5: WAI, YEE)
We began to understand the meaning of happiness which does not depend on rich material, fun parties, the success of career, children entering famous schools. We only need to learn from those people we serve, to care for each other and walk together in the sun, that can already make us satisfied.
(Group 5: Yeung -7 years old)
I was very happy during the journey. I met lots of orphans, they did not feel unhappy even though they had no parents, and they lived happily. I was very impressed and happy.
(Group 5) Yau-7 years old

The experience of the trip really makes us feel that life is precious, the true value of what is in the end! More rare to let my daughter know that the world there are many other different people, let her know to cherish, cherish others, have the opportunity to can create others, as more blessed to give than to receive!
(Group 6) Lam-7 years old
I am very happy because I can see that pitiful children can be so happy, then I would not worry.

This trip made me feel very happy and feel taking care of the children is not easy.
In the first day of the plane, I was excited, looking forward to five days of travel. The next day we went to the Dahua, Siu Ping in our lunch, said: "1234567, they wait so hurry." We are laughed, her sense of humor. Back at the hotel, has been late. I lay in bed and fell asleep less than two seconds. Really Tired ! Third day, we visited a special school, those people are very strange, I saw a flow of saliva, so unsanitary! Fourth day, we attend church, really boring! Afternoon I went to the Plaza shopping, really happy! Fifth day We play with the children to the park, really fun!
I hope I can come back to play, but I think it was six days too!
(Group 1) Man
I felt these five-days trip gave me an unprecedented experience.
Flew to Nanning, the first day of the next day, five-hour drive to the mountains Dahua, sleepy children to see the local materials, they still have a very happy school life. We play in class room with their paintings bags, they are not much response, but they are very happy to see we have this exchange with the moment.
On the third day of orphans and Masan also play the same game.
The fourth was Sunday, we had the Christian church in the mountain and then rest.
The fifth day I have children with disabilities to the forest parks, with close contact to them. One eight-year-old boy to the toilet, I took him to, but he refused, because I'm not familiar with, and later one of his homes with his aunt, he finally agreed to go with her.
Happened that I had a week, I have to the Father, I Thy hand in all the cross, so just at this moment, I saw the Lord greatly in this place workmanship. I hope God will give me a little more inspiration, I can make it? Years is enough time I retired, I can masters of their own country for what the future contribute?

The journey, experience is very rich, very deep feelings.
This is my first personal contact with the remote mountainous areas, poor children, schools and residential environment for simple, sanitary conditions are poor. But the eyes to see them is very simple, play the game, showing the innocent and lovely smile to share, so my heart! That life can be so simple! So I grew up in the city, a great reminder, material life is not important The most important thing is to meet his soul!
With the mentally retarded and disabled children to play games, to do with musical instruments, and their families to talk about the difficulties faced in life, teaching me shame my eyes narrow and selfish, the problem of raising a child with such a family, share a strong education I admire and appreciate!
Another deeply moving is: see the rainbow Missions and cloud Missions with the volunteer workers, the children share the unconditional love, really taught me to tears! They are sacrificing their time, money, or even a life of ease, Among those children into the efforts to improve their situation, more importantly, bring them hope to live. This is the love of Jesus Christ to promote their services, they continue to hold on to the belief, certainly comes from the call and moved on! May all glory be to the Father in heaven, he is willing to establish them for the work firmly !

Parents of the Tam’s family.
This was a long-desired trip. Since the time when my two sons were in the kindergarten, we had longed for taking our whole family to visit some underprivileged and poor areas to open our horizons. It’d be a wonderful learning experience for us to treasure what we have and be contented.
We joined with HK Rainbow Missions to visit NN during Easter. We did not go to some very remote area but indeed the children are from very poor families. Where they live are hilly, some of them are from single-parent families. Some their families are too poor to support them and so kids got abandoned as orphans. We also visited some disabled children and indeed they are the poorest among the poor. Even though they come from such poor environments, they show very much their lovely and innocent persona. They do not have any “wild” look at all. In many game activities and when giving them gifts, they orderly followed instructions and really behaved themselves! It made a strong impression to us when we twisted balloons to make figurines for the students at a school, they all looked very excited. They wanted us badly to make those lovely figurines for them but we are also a new learner to make those figurines. We busted many balloons and then we had to spend another 10 min or so to make another one. Not only did they show much patience, but also showed no sign of complaint at all! As one child got one figurine from me, the others would only quietly wait for their turn. They did not push forward and fight. In light of seeing our children from HK, we probably have spoiled them too much. Seems like our kids need to learn from them about sharing and letting others to go first on getting their gifts!
Not only our children but also even adults had a great impression about the needs in China during this 5-days trip. Lydia from Silver Lining is also one of those. They left their comfortable home from USA to live among the poor, disables and orphans in NN. Their determination to leave their business to come to organize a charity NGO shows much of their love and perseverance!
We thought this trip to NN was about helping some poor students and giving an opportunity for our sons to learn something but we, to our surprise as parents, ended up learning a whole lot and enriching ourselves too.
We are very much touched by those who work and serve at HK Rainbow Missions, Silver Lining, and Angel House. Their love and hard work made a touching impact on our lives and we vividly see their works are filled with love and hope for those kids. What we saw and heard during the trip allowed us to be thankful and treasure what we have indeed!
